  • November 20 Harvard - Yale Viewing Party: We watched the Game with our friends from the Harvard Club at the Moose.

  • November 18 Book Club - Mrs Dalloway: On November 18 we had our fourth Yale Club of France Book Club session. We discussed "Mrs Dalloway" by Virginia Woolf. We had a rich discussion of this book!

  • October 18 Arts Arena Yale School of Music Recital: The Arts Arena presented The Yale School of Music Recital with an ensemble and vocalist in the magnificent Galerie dorée de la Banque de France. The Galerie dorée is located in the Hôtel de Toulouse, home of Louis XIV’s “legitimized” son, the Count of Toulouse. Its Music Master was Couperin the Great, and the Galerie is renowned for its gilded décor and superb acoustics.

  • September 28 Book Club - Blindness: On September 28 we had our second Yale Club of France Book Club session. We discussed "Blindness" by Jose Saramago. We had a rich discussion of this book!

  • September 11 Walking tour: The Yale Club of France joined Brad Newfield, a French-American guide for Paris Walks. This time we did a tour of the Marais. We will explored some of the off-the beaten-path areas. Brad Newfield, a former Angelino who has lived in Paris since 1994, has a Ph.D in History from UCLA, lectured in History and Communication Studies, and develops walking tours on historical themes in Paris, in order to bring together the city's past and present in untraditional ways.

  • August 25 Concert and wine tasting: Wine historian (Yale PhD), associate professor at Ferrandi and beyond, and multi-title author Azélina Jaboulet-Vercherre presented the gustatory and emotional impact of wine through the unique experience of synesthesia. She was joined by guest artist Dhyani D. Heath '18 MusM, Yale School of Music alumna and recent graduate of the Paris National Conservatory, who rendered the fine savours audible on the violin.

  • July 17 Picnic with the Yale Club: We celebrated the summer with a picnic at les Invalides.

  • May 29 Gagosian Gallery Visit in Le Bourget: We visit Gagosian Gallery at le Bourget to see the show of the illustrious German artist Anselm Kiefer titled Field of the Cloth of Gold, where Farid Djamalov (YC '21) showed us around. With four monumental works in the main room supplemented by 20 smaller works in smaller rooms, the exhibition features Kiefer's emblematic usage of eclectic materials like guns, straw, sand, charcoal, paint, ash and mud to explore post World War II German consciousness. This is Kiefer's second time presenting at Le Bourget after 2012, where he inaugurated the space renovated by the famed Jean Nouvel the same year. Farid Djamalov '21 is a History of Art major at Yale currently taking a gap year to work at Gagosian Gallery in Paris. Previously, he worked at Christie's in London, Garage Museum in Moscow, Hermitage Museum Foundation in New York, Musée des Beaux Arts in Montreal, and the Yale University Art Gallery.

  • June 3 Book Club - The Picture of Dorian Gray: On June 3 we had our second Yale Club of France Book Club session. We discussed "The Picture of Dorian Gray" by Oscar Wilde. We had a rich discussion of this book!

  • March 25 Book Club - Aldous Huxley, Brave New World: On March 25 we had our first Yale Club of France Book Club session. We discussed ¨Brave New World" by Aldous Huxley. We had a rich discussion of this book!

  • March 17 Havard/Yale Trivia-based game: A friendly Trivia-based game was hosted by the Harvard and Yale Clubs of France. This event brought together Crimson and Bulldogs to test their knowledge of Harvard and Yale. We took this opportunity to "speed-network", grab a beer and enjoy St. Patrick's Day meeting old and new friends!

February 25 European Feb Club The Yale Club of France celebrated with all the European Yale Clubs the Feb Club via Zoom, a winter Yale tradition which has now gone global.
