  • Nov 23: We joined with our friends from the Harvard Club of France to watch the 140th edition of “The Game”. Yale won 34-29 but a good time was had by all.

  • Nov 19: Book Club. A lively discussion was held on the Graphic Novel, “Radioactive: Marie & Pierre Curie: A Tale of Love and Fallout," by Lauren Redniss.

  • Nov 6: José García-León, Dean of the Yale School of Music talked about Music and the Brain over cocktails. We were hosted by Abir and Mario Kaloustian P ’26.

  • Oct 19: Concert by Paul Ji ‘26. The French-American pianist, a current Junior at Yale College, made his debut at the Theatre des Champs-Elysées with several alumni present.

  • Oct 1: Book Club. Another thoughtful session was held, this time discussing “The New York Trilogy," by Paul Auster.

  • Sept 29: Walking Tour. A group of Yalies joined Guide Brad Newfield for a tour in the left bank, centering on the Marais.

  • September 17: The YCF’s own Branden Thornhill-Miller (‘93) gave a lecture to both Yale and Harvard Alumni entitled “Psychology, Creativity & the Future: An Applied Psychology Buffet.”

  • September 3: Dinner with the Yale Club with Yale Professor Michel Devoret, who discussed the physics of AI and the recent progress of quantum computers. A very lively discussion ensued.

  • July 11: Book Club. We had a lively discussion today about The Birds by Aristophanes.

  • July 6: Summer Picnic 2. Due to the success of our last picnic, we held a second one in the Parc Montsouris

  • June 22: Summer Picnic. Our annual summer picnic was enjoyed by all who attended and a welcome introduction the summer.

  • June 5: Yale-Oxford Happy Hour. A great time was had by alumni of the two clubs on the eve of the 80th anniversary of D-Day.

  • May 21: Book Club. We had a lively discussion today about The Sellout by Paul Beatty.

  • April 24: Dinner with the Yale Club with Christian Strain (JE ‘92). Christian detailed his fascinating carrier from the pinnacle of a top PE fund to now working as a volunteer EMT for the Red Cross in Paris, and what it means to change careers in mid-life.

  • April 6 : Karaoke Night. Many Yalies grabbed their mics and joined in for a fun-filled Karaoke night. (No recordings made!)

  • March 19 : Book Club. We had an extended and enlightening discussion today about The Man in the Sharkskin Suit, the 18th book read since the Book Club was formed three years ago.

  • February 22 : Feb Club: Yalies of all ages and schools gathered to celebrate the global Yale tradition of Feb Club. Good beer and good cheer was had by all.

  • January 30 : Book Club. There was a lively discussion about Hiroshima (by John Hersey ‘36 who also taught at Yale), nuclear weapons, armed conflict and journalism then and now.
